This note comes a day later, seeing as last night we were both in the ED from 6-11 pm together...
There are so many things I want to say in this letter to you, about how much I appreciated your love and support for me and how it meant the world to me to have you by my side waiting for five hours at the hospital last night. It makes me think of that cliché "in sickness and in health," remembering that life is not always wine and roses (but rather sometimes too much wine, resulting in a 16-hour dehydrated hangover...). It is in these types of moments that it shows what type of future husband I have chosen and gives me faith in our relationship. I want you to know that this will probably not be the last time something like this happens, and that it may even be the reverse, with me staying and waiting with you in your time of need. But all of these moments make up what we call life, and I can't imagine a better person to share my life with than you.
(My hope is that this note makes sense later on considering I still have a fair amount of drowsiness from last night...)
Love,
Fox
