Dear Copper,

This morning I was sick and went to get my throat swabbed before work to make sure I didn't have strep. I then went over to your house after (it was negative) to get ready for work. Despite your fatigue after having worked 12 hours yourself, you still made sure to make me a cup of hot tea with honey to help me feel better.

Sometimes I just forget how truly lucky I am to have a wonderful (future) husband like you in my life.

Dear Copper,

We had a rough morning/late night to end our Whiskey Weekend. Let's just say the shot your fraternity brother brought you was a bit strong... Oh my. 

Thankfully we were able to talk things through and nap before our drive home (where we went through 80 of the "100 questions to ask before getting married")... Answering all those get to know you questions really helped remind me of why I am marrying you and how much you love me.

Dear Copper,

Our wedding photographer today kept saying how romantic you were during our photo shoot... I'm pretty lucky to have snagged such a great guy who loves me so much. Can't wait to look back at all the engagement pictures we took today and remember the love we felt looking into each other's eyes...

Thanks also for taking care of my oil change today while I studied for my test. It lets me know how much you care for me and reminds me again what a great guy I have for my (future) husband.

One of the best parts about loving you is the ability to grow old together.

Also, I briefly saw (and tried on) my official rings today (since the original was too big and couldn't be correctly re-sized down to what I needed)... I know it's going to be hard eventually saying goodbye to the original ring from that night, but there was something magical about holding the one in the store today, knowing it's the one I will have the rest of my life...

This morning I woke up to a strange text message conversation about outer space, dimensions, and what happens to our souls after we die... All I could think of was a Dr. Seuss quote: 

You then proceeded to tell me that you wanted my soul to be with yours forever. Which sounds kind of morbid and kind of strange, but I understood what you meant. You also said you have a strange feeling you are going to outlive me and said you didn't think you could remarry. I want you to always be happy. Should I go first, I don't want you to be alone the rest of your life. Promise me you will find a companion. And my soul will be waiting for you on the other side. Until then, embrace the idea that we are just two weird individuals on Earth who love each other very much.
